Weather bureau warns of hot days and rainy nights

The unusual hot temperature in the morning and sudden rainfall in the evening is what the city will be expecting throughout the Holy Week.

Paz Rosas, weather observer from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in Davao Region, said this unusual temperature and heavy rainfall will continue until the end of the week.

“Gitan-aw namu ang weather forecast for five days ug until Friday jud siya possible mag-ulan gihapon sa gabii,” Rosas said.

She added though that there is also an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.

Eastern Visayas and Eastern Mindanao will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The rest of Visayas and of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms while the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy.

Pagasa warns of the continuance of drastic weather changes and rainfalls and thunderstorms in the afternoon and advises everybody to bring rain coats and umbrellas for the duration of the week.

Brought about also by climate change, weather conditions this summer may reach the possibility of temperatures rising and staying at 36 degrees Celsius over several days that would be dangerous.

The Department of Health (DOH) advises everybody to be extra cautious of health issues during this uncanny weather changes.
