Severe Weather Bulletin Number THIRTEEN (FINAL)

Tropical Cyclone Alert: Tropical Storm “FALCON” {MEARI}

Issued at 5:00 a.m., Saturday, 25 June 2011

Tropical Storm “FALCON” has gained more strength and further accelerated as it continues to move away from the country.

Location of Center: (as of 4:00 a.m.) 590 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes

Coordinates: 26.0°N, 124.1°E

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 105 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 135 kph

Movement: North Northwest at 24 kph

         Forecast Positions/Outlook: Saturday morning (8:00 AM):

         680 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes or at

         320 km West Northwest of Okinawa, Japan

No Public Storm Warning Signals Raised

With this development, this is the final bulletin on this weather disturbance.

However, this disturbance will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon and bring occasional rains over Luzon particularly over the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon.
